New team, new city, new signature shoe, same old Stewie. As All-Star voting opens up for the WNBA Breanna Stewart is surrounded by change as she leads the New York Liberty toward the end of the first leg of the season. Averaging career-highs across her 24 points and 10 boards a night, the North Syracuse native now readies the reveal of the second colorway for her second signature silhouette with PUMA.
Having dawned the bright red “Ruby” colorway throughout the Liberty’s first five games of the season, the upcoming Stewie 2 lies in stark opposition as an earth-based palette consumes the NITRO-infused ensemble. The mesh uppers have been redone with a textured canvas material to further signify the outdoorsy aesthetic dipped in a darkened tan tint while the surrounding tongue construction, collar lining and midsole receive a more vibrant sandstone hue. Injecting key lime accents within the laces, a muted pairing of green-treated details and a greyscale sideswipe logo bring a close to the tonal effort.
A release date is currently set for June 23rd; while you wait, enjoy a first look at the PUMA Stewie 2 “Earth” below.
