Hispanic Heritage Month officially kicked off on September 15th, making way for more of Nike’s commemorative “Familia” collection to be revealed.
Recently, the Nike Pegasus 40 emerged in a special makeup inspired by the month-long celebration. Similarly colorful as the Air Max 1 “Familia” that surfaced in late August, the running sneaker features a textile upper that indulges in varying shades of pink. Tongues and sockliners boast collection-specific branding, while other components throughout the upper enjoy ornate embroidery, graphics, and more. The Nike React foam midsole keeps things tame in a light brown, allowing both the top-half and traction underfoot to revel in the spotlight with their vibrant color schemes. All together, each detail on the Pegasus 40 speaks to the diversity and liveliness of Latin America and its peoples.
Enjoy official photos of the pair, and anticipate a nike.com launch on September 27th.
