Although hot on the heels of its debut colorway, the Nike LeBron 21 is very quickly lining up several more releases for the Fall/Winter.
Among these include the aptly-named Nike LeBron 21 “Purple Rain,” which was first teased by the athlete back in August. As its namesake suggests, the pair pays direct homage to the late and legendary Prince, whom LeBron is known to be very fond of. Here, “Violet Dust” is used all throughout the matte leather construction, complementing the hits of “Purple Cosmos” that accent both the sole unit and hardware. “Melon Tint” is then applied to the embroidered branding and the intricate detailing along the heel. What’s more, the patch on the insoles elevate the homage, depicting the aforementioned artist’s hands complete with his signature rings.
The Nike LeBron 21 “Purple Rain” is expected to release at select retailers and Nike.com on October 14th. As we await its arrival, enjoy a closer look at the shoe via the official images ahead.
